The season opener saw Oklahoma City Thunder breezing in over a win against Orlando Magic.

After scoring 30 points for Thunder, Kevin Durant lead the team with a 97-89 victory against Dwight Howard lead Orlando magic. Howard struggled to shoot, with seven misses out of eleven shots.
“We know there are outside expectations,” Thunder coach Scott Brooks said. “But there aren’t absolutes or guarantees. Our guys just work. I know it gets boring at times, but we like that. We’re not going to change. We’re all in the same boat on that. You can never become complacent. It has to be about the team.”
For the past two seasons, Durant lead the team scoring 27.7 last season on average. He had eleven out of nineteen shots, with five rebounds and six assists.
It was James Harden who solidified the Thunder win with 19 points, as well as Kendrick Perkins and Nazr Mohammed who constrained Howard.
